Tore Gautesen

Tore Gautesen (born 1983) is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NOR Group, with responsibility for the company’s overall strategy, growth and international development.

Gautesen took up the role in 2024 after more than a decade as Port Director at Karmsund Havn, where he led a period marked by significant growth, modernisation and strengthened market position. He was Chairman of the Board when Norwegian Offshore Rental (NOR) was established in 2011, and has therefore followed the company closely from its start up to its current position as an international player.

Gautesen has broad management experience from maritime, property, aviation and logistics intensive businesses, and is known for his ability to develop robust organisations with a clear customer focus and operational efficiency.

As CEO, Gautesen has been central in driving the company’s growth strategy, including international expansion and strategic acquisitions. Under his leadership, NOR has strengthened its presence in new markets and further developed its global platform.

In parallel with his operational career, he has held a number of board positions in companies within maritime business, industry and business development, and has built solid experience within corporate governance and strategic development work.

Gautesen represents a leadership profile with strong commercial and strategic understanding, and combines experience from infrastructure, the maritime industry and logistics with commercial development in the energy sector. Through his work, he contributes to strengthening NOR Group’s position as a flexible and reliable partner in the global energy market.
