SURVEYOR-HD

Description

The Bowtech Products SURVEYOR-HD is a high definition underwater colour zoom camera built around a Sony block camera with a 1/3" HD CMOS sensor and a 10:1 optical zoom lens (5.1 mm to 51.0 mm focal length). The SURVEYOR-HD has a horizontal resolution of 800 TV lines and 1920 H × 1080 V pixels, and the standard video output is component (Y/Pb/Pr).

The SURVEYOR-HD outputs 1080i or 720p at 50 or 60 fps (user selectable) with a 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio (user selectable). Sensitivity is 11 lux typical at f1.8, 50 IRE, with 0.1 lux limiting sensitivity (faceplate), and the signal to noise ratio is >50 dB. The angle of view is 61° diagonal in air and 45° diagonal in water. The 4x digital zoom (40x with optical zoom) is deactivated as standard.

The SURVEYOR-HD housing is titanium alloy grade 5 with a sapphire glass window, rated to 4,000 or 6,000 m. The housing diameter is 98.4 mm (front retainer) and the length is 172 mm excluding connector, with a weight of 2.7 kg in air and 1.4 kg in water. The camera runs on 11–30 Vdc at 400 mA typical, uses a 5506-1508 standard connector, and can be controlled by single wire tristate, two wire bipolar or RS-232 input, or an IR remote.
