LMS Air Skates

Description

LMS Air Skates are low-profile air bearing modules for moving heavy and bulky loads in workshops, yards and other areas where forklifts and cranes cannot reach. Used in sets of four or six, they float the load on a thin film of air, which virtually eliminates friction and causes no floor wear.

The skates are connected to a control unit through a hose manifold and powered by a regular workshop air supply of 5 to 7 bar. The control unit regulates the air flow to each skate to suit the load and floor conditions, lifting the load clear of the floor so it can be moved and positioned precisely in any direction.

Capacities range from 7 t to 240 t for a 4-module set and from 10.5 t to 360 t for a 6-module set, depending on module size. A system includes the air bearing modules, interconnection hoses with quick release couplings, a control unit with a pressure regulator and gauge for each module, a 30 m supply hose with shut-off valve, and a storage box.
