ARM 5E Micro

Description

The ECA Hytec ARM 5E Micro is a 5-function underwater electric manipulator arm for very light ROVs. It is powered by brushless 24–30 Vdc electric motors and uses a zero oil system rated to 300 m.

The ARM 5E Micro has a reach of 640 mm from the slew pivot and lifts 10 kg at 0.5 Amps at full extension. Slew is 120° with LH or RH mounting, elevation is 90° and elbow bend is 130°. The jaw rotates continuously, opens 125 mm at the tips, has a rotate torque of >10 Nm at 2 Amps, a rotate speed of ~49 rpm at 24 Vdc and a closing force of >50 kg at 2 Amps.

The ECA Hytec ARM 5E Micro weighs 10 kg in air and 2.75 kg in water (total mass), with a mobile mass of 2.2 kg. It is made of hard anodised 6082 T6 aluminium alloy with Airex C70.200 foam and has RS 232 and RS 485 E-link options. An oil-filled deepwater version rated up to 3000 m and skid mounting are available as options.
