Atlas 7F Rate Controlled Manipulator System
Rate Controlled ROV Manipulator
Description
The Atlas 7F Rate Controlled Manipulator System is a rate-controlled manipulator system that can be installed on either the port or starboard side of an ROV. The Atlas 7F manipulator arm has a depth rating of 6500 msw, and the standard valve pack has a depth rating of 4000 msw.
Joint Sensor Kits are installed on the exterior of the Atlas 7F manipulator at each of the linear actuator joints (azimuth, shoulder, elbow, pitch and yaw), with a sensor cable mounted on top of each kit. The valve pack is mounted to the base of the manipulator and has seven servo valves in line with lock/relief valves for the azimuth, shoulder, elbow, pitch and yaw joints. A controller PCA provides power and communications to the servo valves and joint sensor cables.
The hydraulic circuit requires 3000 psi max (207 bar) pressure on a -4 JIC connector, 350 psi max (24 bar) return on a -6 JIC connector and 15 psi max compensation on a -4 JIC connector. Manipulator power and telemetry require 26 VDC, 30 W with serial communications through a 20 Shell, 8 Pin Burton connector. The system is available in two connector configurations.
