Digital Video Inspection System
Description
The EdgeDVR V5, named Edge Pro DVR in the datasheet text, is a digital video inspection system for visual inspections of subsea structures that require real time event logging. The Edge Pro DVR records 4 video channels with a 4 channel digital overlay and is available in 3 hardware models: SD, HD and 4K.
The Edge Pro DVR is a 4U rack-mounted unit with a total storage capacity of 12 TB on 3 removable hard drives that store the survey video and photos. The Windows 10 Pro operating system is stored on a solid state hard drive, with a second solid state hard drive for redundancy. A proprietary data file management concept gives automatic data backup: a copy of all inspection data is stored on two removable 4 TB hard drives, and the third removable drive stores SD/HD Blackbox video and can also store video from the third party inspection programs COABIS and NEXUS.
The EdgeDVR V5 software provides online video clips and photos, automatic dive, photo, video and anomaly logs, user configurable eventing, 4 serial inputs, multibeam sonar recording and control, and task based inspection workpacks with import/export. An offline editor handles offline video clips, photos and eventing, and the system also provides report generation, built-in blackbox recording, network video streaming, a network viewer and a client viewer.
