Green Pin® ROV Shackle

Description

The Green Pin® ROV Shackle is a spring-loaded shackle with a quick release system, developed for subsea applications. The quick release can be operated by a hydraulically operated ROV arm, which reduces the time needed to disassemble shackles underwater.

Bow and pin are made of grade 8 alloy steel, quenched and tempered, and the minimum breaking load (MBL) is 5 × WLL. The body is painted white and the pin green. The temperature range is −40 °C to +200 °C.

The shackle is for in-line use only and is assembled with wire rope slings and a monkey's fist. The series covers working load limits from 12 t to 150 t, with weights from 5.24 kg to 168 kg. Larger sizes require a special compression tool, which is sold separately.
