NOR Saw 30-120 mm

Hydraulic ROV Pipe Cutting Saw

Description

The NOR Saw 30-120 mm is a hydraulic saw constructed to cut pipes under water. The NOR Saw 30-120 mm is attached to an ROV and operated with hydraulics; built-in clamps hold it in place during operation while a rotating blade is fed into the workpiece.

With a Ø 400 mm blade, the saw cuts diameters from 30 mm to 120 mm. The complete assembly weighs 81 kg in air.

The blade rotation motor has a work pressure of 200 bar, a max pressure of 400 bar and a flow of 46–100 l/min. The feed motor has a pre-set work pressure of 10 bar, a max pressure of 40 bar, a max flow of 40 l/min, a 20:1 transfer gear ratio and M20 × 2.5 displacement (2.5 mm per rotation). The clamp cylinder has a pre-set work pressure and max pressure of 110 bar and a max flow of 40 l/min.

Hydraulic input connections (ROV/tool interface) are JIC 9/16” for the feed motor and clamp cylinder, and JIC 3/4” for the blade rotation motor.
