Oceaneering RCU – Remote Control Unit

Description

The Oceaneering RCU – Remote Control Unit is a subsea control system that consists of a laptop and a subsea controller card. The Oceaneering RCU has a subsea valve pack with adjustable pressure and flow, and the communication link is RS 232 or RS 485.

The surface computer of the Oceaneering RCU monitors pressure, turns, RPM, oil temperature and torque, with torque monitoring including logging and limit functions. Digital and analogue inputs and outputs are available (optional).

The Oceaneering RCU has proportional flow valves of 1 off 0–100 litre, 1 off 0–36 litre and 2 off 0–5 litre, and 2 off pressure reducing valves with independent pressure. The unit is depth rated to 3000 MSW, measures 46 × 29 × 23 cm, weighs 30 kg in air and 17 kg in water, and is powered by 110 VAC or 230 VAC. The Oceaneering RCU is transported in an 800 × 600 × 400 mm (L × W × H) transport case with a weight of 55 kg.
