ROV Operated Drilling Tool (Stinger)

Description

The Imenco Stinger ROV Operated Drilling Tool is a portable, hydraulically operated drilling machine that can be operated by a work class ROV. It is designed for subsea drilling operations on a variety of applications and steel thicknesses. Setup, operation and retrieval in situ are done with the assistance of a standard work class ROV.

The Imenco Stinger takes interchangeable drill bits up to Ø 135 mm and has a drill diameter range of 12–135 mm. Maximum drill depth (wall thickness) is 40 mm, depending on drill bit, and the stroke length is 85 mm. Hydraulic supply is max 175 bar at 20–30 l/min.

The Imenco Stinger measures 330 × 410 × 570 mm and weighs 46 kg in air and 40 kg in water. Parts are replaceable and the drill bit can be changed. The tool can be supplied with suction pad, magnetic or claw type fixing brackets (optional) and with an integrated valve pack for RPM and feed control (optional).
