Snapper™ Weak Link

Description

The Imenco Snapper™ Weak Link is a weak link for situations where a controlled emergency release point is required. It uses exchangeable shear pins, and the datasheet states a safety factor of 1.5.

The Snapper™ Weak Link comes in three sizes. Snapper 6,5Te has shear pins of 1, 2, 3, 4, 4.5, 5 and 6.8 Te. Snapper 12Te has shear pins of 8, 10, 12, 15, 18 and 20 Te. Snapper 35Te has shear pins of 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 Te. According to the datasheet, the different weak link sizes fit directly into the same shackle sizes.
