Description
The Sonardyne Marine Computer is a fanless embedded computer designed to run Sonardyne software, including Fusion 2 and Ranger 2, as well as third-party applications. It can be used with the Sonardyne NSH and Ethernet Serial Hub (ESH) over an Ethernet or serial interface.
The Sonardyne Marine Computer has an Intel i7 8700T hexa-core 2.4 GHz processor, 8 GB 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM (non-ECC, un-buffered), a single 512 GB wide operating temperature SSD and an additional 2.5" SATA drive bay. It supports triple independent displays and instant reboot (0.2 seconds), and has 2 × 1 Gbps Ethernet and 4 × RS232/422/485 serial ports with auto flow control.
Immunity and emission are compliant with EN 60945 and DNVGL-CG-0339, and the computer is intended for indoor use, including on ships' bridges, at altitudes up to 2,000 m in continuous operation. Operating and storage temperature are −15 to 70 °C, vibration is 5 Grms, 5–500 Hz, 3 axes to IEC 60068-2-64, and shock is 50 Grms, half-sine 11 ms to IEC 60068-2-27.
Power input is auto sensing 115/230 V AC, 60/50 Hz, with 221 W maximum power input. The Sonardyne Marine Computer measures 227 × 261 × 88 mm and weighs 4.3 kg unmounted, or 482 × 423 × 88 mm and 10.5 kg shelf mounted in a 19-inch rack (2U). It can be used freestanding, wall mounted or shelf mounted.
