Tritech Super SeaPrince DST
Compact CHIRP Imaging Sonar
Description
The Tritech Super SeaPrince DST is a compact imaging sonar with CHIRP signal processing and a broad band frequency response from 500 kHz to 900 kHz (default 675 kHz) in a single channel sonar. It offers the same features as the Tritech Super SeaKing sonar in a smaller housing.
The Super SeaPrince DST has a beamwidth of 38° vertical and 2.3° horizontal, a range of 1–100 m, a 200 μs pulse length and step sizes of 0.45°, 0.9°, 1.8° and 3.6°. Features include true acoustic zoom and instant scan reversal, and the transducer is protected by a hard boot.
The Super SeaPrince DST is available as a single port or dual port pressure housing model. It communicates over ARCNET (156 kbit·s⁻¹ maximum) or RS232/RS485 (115.2 kBd maximum), and can be operated from a Tritech Surface Control Unit (SCU) or a PC with a Tritech SeaHub connected via USB; in stand-alone configuration it runs on RS232 or RS485. Over ARCNET it can run alongside other Tritech SeaKing products and accept inputs from third-party sensors.
Power requirement is 12–36 V DC at 10 VA, with 18–56 V DC (optional). The housing is Ø77 mm and 150 mm high; the single port model weighs 1 kg in air and 0.39 kg in water, and the dual port model 1.05 kg in air and 0.44 kg in water. The depth rating is 4000 m. Listed applications are survey and observation, light work-class ROV, obstacle avoidance and port and harbour surveillance.
