USM HighTower OTS Sonar Mount

Sonar Mount for 10 ft Z-Poles

Description

The Universal Sonar Mount (USM) HighTower OTS Sonar Mount is a modular mount for repeatable, accurate alignment of a sonar head to a boat. It is made primarily from hard coat anodised marine-grade aluminium. The datasheet describes the HighTower as the most versatile USM mount, with options such as Gear Drive actuation.

The USM HighTower is recommended for systems with Z-Pole lengths up to 10 ft and bearing loads up to 150 lbs. A vertical lead-screw mechanism called the Shear Block Tower engages and disengages the Z-Pole and also serves as a breakaway safety feature in the event of a collision. Actuation lifts the sonar head to a position substantially parallel to the boat's deck, and the Z-Pole can be locked in the fore or aft position while the vessel is transiting.

On the USM HighTower, yaw, pitch and X-Pole reach are adjusted inboard, Z-Pole depth can be indexed on the fly, and settings can be preserved and reproduced. USM offers Offset Lookup Tables to identify offset values for a specific configuration. Further listed features are calibrated Z-Pole breakaway, mechanically constrained and fully repeatable mounting options, complete electrical isolation of the sonar equipment, quick-release handles and portable flyaway travel cases.
