Vector VS1000
GNSS Positioning and Heading Receiver
Description
The Hemisphere GNSS Vector VS1000 is a multi-GNSS, multi-frequency positioning and heading receiver designed for the professional marine market. It receives GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and Atlas signals on 1059 channels and supports Athena™ RTK positioning and Atlas® L-band corrections.
Heading accuracy of the Vector VS1000 depends on antenna separation, from 0.2° RMS at 0.5 m to 0.01° RMS at 10.0 m, and antenna separations up to 10 m are supported. Positioning accuracy (RMS) is 2.4 m single point, 0.6 m SBAS, 0.08 m Atlas H10 and 8 mm + 1 ppm RTK. Pitch/roll accuracy is 1° RMS, and heave accuracy is 30 cm (DGPS), 10 cm (Atlas) or 5 cm (RTK) RMS. The update rate is 10 Hz standard, with 20 Hz (optional).
The Vector VS1000 has 1 × CAN, 1 × Ethernet, 1 × USB and a 12-pin multi-purpose port (RS232, RS422, CAN, 1PPS, event marker), plus Bluetooth 2.0 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. A WebUI is accessed via Wi-Fi, and the unit has a 128 × 64 display and 10 multi-colour LEDs. Correction formats include Hemisphere GNSS ROX, RTCM v2.3, RTCM v3.2, CMR and CMR+, with NMEA 0183 and Hemisphere GNSS binary data output. A gyro and tilt sensors aid heading reacquisition and provide pitch and roll data.
The VS1000 operates from −40 °C to +70 °C, has an enclosure rated IPx6/IPx7 to ISO 60529:2013, and meets IEC 60945:2002 for vibration and EMC. It measures 23.2 × 16.5 × 7.9 cm without plate (23.2 × 21.4 × 8.3 cm with plate) and weighs 1.7 kg. Atlas corrections require a Hemisphere GNSS subscription.
