Wellhead Cleaning Tool

Description

The Wellhead Cleaning Tool is a motorised, ROV-powered tool for cleaning the seal surface of wellheads that use AX or VX gaskets. The Wellhead Cleaning Tool suits the 18-3/4" AX/VX wellhead interface. The ROV powers the tool and holds it in position to remove debris.

Input pressure for the Wellhead Cleaning Tool is 138 to 207 bar (2000 to 3000 psi), and input flow is stated as +5.7 lpm (1.5+ GPM). Flow regulator valves limit the rotation speed. Cleaning depth is approximately 1-7/8" (48 mm).

The Wellhead Cleaning Tool is built in aluminium, UHMW/HDPE and stainless steel, with replaceable plastic abrasive scrubbing pads and a stainless steel handle. It weighs 24 kg (52 lbs) dry and 16 kg (35 lbs) wet and is supplied in an offshore-suitable transit case.
