Do you enjoy hands-on mechanical work and making sure equipment is ready when it matters?
We are looking for a Mechanic to join our onshore workshop in Aksdal. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing, testing, and ensuring that equipment is ready for operation – every time.
You will be part of a collaborative and skilled team, working closely with colleagues to solve practical challenges and maintain a high standard of quality in everything we deliver.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and prepare equipment for rental and operational use
- Perform mechanical work, including assembly, disassembly, and modification of subsea and tooling equipment
- Inspect and test equipment before dispatch and upon return
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure operational readiness
- Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment for projects
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality deliveries
- Maintain order and structure in the workshop and storage areas
- Document completed work to ensure traceability
Qualifications
- Trade certificate in a mechanical discipline (or relevant hands-on experience)
- Experience from workshop, industrial, or offshore-related work is an advantage
- Practical mindset with strong technical understanding
- Structured and detail-oriented approach to work
- Comfortable with a varied and sometimes physically demanding workday
- Team player with good collaboration skills
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Able to find practical solutions and solve problems efficiently
- Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
