We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Survey Engineer to assist in the preparation, testing and maintenance of our fleet of subsea survey equipment in the UK. This full-time, onshore-based role is responsible for managing the end-to-end hire equipment lifecycle—ensuring inventory readiness, supporting commercial activities, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and clients..
Key Responsibilities
- Test and servicing of subsea survey equipment, including software updates, fault finding and general maintenance reports.
- Incoming goods require inspection, flagging any damages or missing accessories.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all surveying activities.
- Quality check and complete all pre-hire paperwork before dispatch to customers.
- Assist with inventory management and procurement of spare parts and consumables.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers as needed, including some international assignments.
- Offering support and training to trainee engineers.
- Assist senior personnel in the workshop and office with operational support.
Competence Requirements
- Certification in electronics, automation, or IT. Relevant experience can compensate for the lack of certification.
- Strong understanding and experience with diagnostic tools, system integration, and maintenance of technical equipment is desirable but not required. Training will be provided.
- Excellent collaboration skills and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Ability to work safely and be adaptable in a fast-paced work environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Good Understanding of Microsoft 365 and ability to operate internal company software.
