Description
The Hydro-Lek HLK-4600PT Camera Boom is a 4-function camera boom manipulator arm designed for inspection of pipelines with a diameter up to 1 m. It can be fitted with customer specified cameras and lighting and deployed on medium to large sized work class ROVs. The datasheet lists pipeline survey and inspection as applications.
The Hydro-Lek HLK-4600PT has 4 degrees of freedom and a maximum reach of 1300 mm (51”). The camera mount can be tilted through 120° and rotated through 360° using the HLK-2150 pan and tilt unit, and the camera position stays stable throughout 120° angular movement of the arm. Pan torque is 38 Nm @ 140 bar (28 lb.ft @ 2000 psi), and the maximum payload is 12 kg (26.4 lb).
The Hydro-Lek HLK-4600PT has a max. working pressure of 207 bar (3000 psi) and a flow of 0.5–6 lpm (0.13–1.58 gpm). It runs on mineral fluids to DIN 51524, ISO 11158 and ISO 6743-4, or the synthetic fluids Panolin Atlantis and HLP-Synth, at a viscosity of 16–220 cSt (VG 22–32 recommended) and a fluid temperature of 5–60 °C (41–140 °F).
The Hydro-Lek HLK-4600PT is rated to an operational depth of 6000 msw (19,680 ft). It is built from 316 stainless steel, 6082 aluminium and HDPE with a hard anodised and painted finish, and weighs 31.6 kg (69.5 lb) in air and 19.6 kg (43 lb) in water.
