ISD4000 Depth & Temperature Sensor
Underwater Depth and Temperature Sensor
Description
The Impact Subsea ISD4000 is an underwater depth and temperature sensor for ROV, AUV and other underwater depth and temperature measurement applications. The ISD4000 can be fitted with an optional integrated Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) and is supplied in a titanium or black acetal housing.
The ISD4000 uses a temperature compensated piezo-resistive pressure sensor with ±0.01 % full scale depth accuracy (upgrade to ±0.005 % FS optional) and 0.001 % full scale resolution, in pressure ranges of 10, 30, 50, 100, 300, 400 or 600 bar. Temperature accuracy is 0.1 °C (upgrade to ±0.05 °C optional) with 0.001 °C resolution.
With the optional AHRS, the ISD4000 measures pitch over ±90° and roll over ±180° with 0.2° accuracy and 0.1° resolution, and heading to magnetic north with ±1° accuracy and 0.1° resolution. Communication is RS232 or RS485 at 4800–115,200 baud, continuous or on demand, at up to 100 Hz. Input voltage is 7–32 V DC and power is 32 mA @ 24 V DC.
The ISD4000 depth rating is 6000 m with titanium housing and 500 m with acetal housing. Weight in air/fresh water is 0.42/0.28 kg (titanium) and 0.20/0.10 kg (acetal), and the standard connector is Subconn MCBH8M-SS. Listed applications include pipeline surveys, real time depth, motion reference, asset deployment, echosounder surveys, ROV and AUV depth sensing and temperature measurement.
