Kystdesign Camera Booms

Description

The Kystdesign Camera Boom is a hydraulic camera boom designed and built by Kystdesign for use on survey ROVs. It is intended to be fitted with one customer supplied video camera and two Multi-SeaLite lamps, and has four hydraulic functions: boom rotate, elevate, pan and tilt.

The Kystdesign Camera Boom has 90° boom rotate, 1200 mm elevate, 180° pan and −45° tilt horizontal, at a maximum hydraulic pressure of 200 bar. It weighs 46 kg (dry). The lower section releases and pivots on impact, and the pivoting section is held in position by two magnets.

Hydraulic ports on the Kystdesign Camera Boom are 3/8 BSP and 1/4 BSP on the rotary actuator, and 1/4 BSP and 1/8 NPT on the hydraulic cylinder.
