Oceaneering Class 1-4 Hydraulic Torque Tool

Description

The Oceaneering Class 1–4 Hydraulic Torque Tool is a hydraulic torque tool that operates the full Class 1–4 range. Applications stated in the datasheet include opening and closing Class 1–4 valves and installing and removing flying leads.

The Oceaneering Class 1–4 Hydraulic Torque Tool has a torque range of 35–2,700 Nm (26–1,991 ft·lbf) and a maximum operating pressure of 207 bar (3,000 psi). Motors are available from 32 cc to 250 cc. The tool has electronic and mechanical turn counters, and the electronic turn counter resolution is 1/10th of a turn. Turn count is shown on a subsea display and a remote control unit (RCU). Real-time torque feedback via the RCU is optional.

The tool has interchangeable end effectors and a fin or body latch. It is rated to 3,000 msw (10,000 fsw), measures 30.2 cm in diameter and 60.2 cm in length, and weighs 39 kg in air and 30 kg in water. For transport, the Oceaneering Class 1–4 Hydraulic Torque Tool is supplied in a 79.6 × 60.2 × 40.1 cm (L × W × H) transport case with a stated weight of 85 kg.
