Seanic Flying Lead Orientation Tool (FLOT)

Description

The Seanic Flying Lead Orientation Tool (FLOT) is a tool designed to be front mounted to an ROV for interface with various class 1–4 torque tools. The docking cone of the Seanic FLOT is designed using a class 4 torque tool nose and latches, and the FLOT has adapters for FORUM Torque Tool.

The Seanic FLOT has a total of 135° of pitch travel: 90° down from horizontal and 45° up from horizontal. The capacity is 272 kg. The pitch function (1A/1B) and the roll function (2A/2B) both operate at 207 bar, with flow dependent on the weight of the load. The hydraulic requirement is two open center directional valves.

The Seanic FLOT measures 940 × 384 × 400 mm and weighs 72 kg in air and 56 kg in water (FLOT only). Materials are 316SS, 6061 T6 aluminium, Ampco 45 and Buna-N.
