Torque Tool Control System

Description

The CSS Torque Tool Control Valve Pack gives full control of a hydraulic torque tool. Used with the CSS IVP and software, it provides repeatable control of torque and pressure, with turns counting and pressure and torque sensing.

The software controls the board over RS232 or RS485, which in turn drives the valves in the pack. The valve pack is rated to 3,000 m, uses Wandfluh NG3 valves and pressure tolerant electronics, and has 8 digital and 16 analogue inputs. Phoenix connectors on top of the valves allow valves to be removed, or changed from on/off to proportional, without disturbing the harness.

The pack has two manual pressure reducing valves, an externally adjustable stainless steel flow control valve, an externally adjustable pressure line relief valve and removable PO check valves. It is pressure tested, flushing tested and electrically tested, including earth leakage.
